Private Motorcycle Tours in Hokkaido

Want to experience all Hokkaido has to offer?

Explore Hokkaido on two wheels with guided motorcycle tours built around the island’s best riding. This is a place where the roads feel open and unhurried, and where the journey itself becomes the highlight.

Tours are led by experienced local riders who handle navigation, timing, and logistics, so you can focus on the ride. Expect a relaxed pace with regular stops for viewpoints, fuel, and local food, plus flexibility to adapt to weather and group ability.

Whether it’s a short escape or a longer journey, riding in Hokkaido is defined by space, fresh air, and a sense of freedom—made even better by a route that’s built specifically for you.

Fully-tailored tours

Each tour is fully tailored to your preferences, whether that means focusing on scenic coastal cruising, technical mountain roads, food stops, photography, or simply covering more ground at a relaxed pace.

Along the coast, you ride with the sea never far from view—long, sweeping curves tracing the shoreline, salt air drifting in, and wide horizons that seem to stretch endlessly. Traffic fades away, the rhythm settles in, and it’s just you, the bike, and the sound of the engine against the wind.

Head inland and the atmosphere shifts. Mountain roads wind through dense forests and climb into cooler air, with smooth corners, changing elevations, and the occasional glimpse of distant peaks or volcanic landscapes. The air feels cleaner and sharper—especially in the early morning—carrying the scent of trees, earth, and open countryside.

Between these stretches, quiet rural roads cut through farmland and small towns, offering a slower pace and a glimpse of everyday Hokkaido life. It’s not about rushing from one place to another, but about enjoying the ride itself—each section with its own feel and rhythm.

What bike do I need?

This is an often-debated topic. Long story short, it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

Roads in Hokkaido (except for expressways) have a maximum speed of 40-60 km/h. Expressways' maximum speed can be between 80 and 100 km/h; however, take the emotion of riding the twisty roads that Hokkaido has to offer away.

With low maximum speed and twisty roads, the "need" for a larger bike is usually dissipated.

If you're riding solo, any 250cc motorcycle will do great at keeping up with the pack, even on mountain roads if you're on a tighter budget.

The 400cc class is a great point that balances comfort on small tourers, agility and lightweight on nakeds, and small and versatile dual sports. This is the class we recommend as it packs great power all around the range, and is not "too much power" that pushes you over the speed limits.

If big bikes are your cup of tea, we can arrange a large variety of larger cc bikes in all categories, including tourers, dual sports, naked, and sport bikes.

If you have any questions regarding riding styles, let us know. We are happy to help you find the perfect bike for your tour.
